Review:
"Whole Lotta Rosie (Revisited)"
is an upgrade of the well-known Toronto '84 pro-shot footage, as
found on "Whole Lotta Rosie". Hence, it includes the re-edited
and complete version of "Rosalita".
On this new version, the "Right Stuff" logo that appeared for a
few seconds at the beginning of each song has been digitally
removed. Only the frames with the logo have been re-encoded, so
the rest of the video remains in the same excellent quality as
before.
The other difference is the audio. This version features a
remastered stereo track as well as newly created surround-sound
Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS tracks. Unfortunately, the excellent
extras on the original release have had to be dropped to make
way for the enhanced sound.
The new animated menus and intro sequence are very impressive
and give the production an overall feel of quality. "Whole Lotta
Rosie (Revisited) currently represents the best presentation of
this superb film. |
